Mohit Raghav has proudly secured Virat Kohli’s jersey. The iconic jersey, which fetched an impressive INR 40 lakhs, was auctioned to support the Vipla Foundation’s esteemed mission of providing quality education to children with hearing impairment and intellectual disabilities. Worn by Virat Kohli during the 2019 world cup, the jersey holds remarkable significance, marking his final tournament as the captain of the Indian cricket team.

Mohit Raghav, a lifelong cricket enthusiast, has been passionate about cricket since childhood. His deep connection with cricket is reflection of both his personal and professional pursuits. Mohit owns a cricket club in Dubai and manages an ECB domestic team, showcasing his deep commitment and passion for the sport. His love for cricket is further demonstrated by his endeavours watching live and following major cricket tournaments, including the World Cup (2011, 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024), Test Championships (2022 and 2023), and the Asia Cup (2018 and 2022). He has travelled to various countries such as Australia, England, the USA, Dubai, India, Barbados, Guyana, and Saint Lucia to attend these matches which speaks volumes about him as a cricket fan.

Mohit has further had the privilege of meeting and working along with numerous cricket celebrities, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Surya Kumar Yadav, Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma to name a few, reflecting his prominent role within the cricketing community. From a young age, Mohit wanted to become a cricketer while today he continues to play in Dubai’s A Division and domestic leagues alongside UAE and international players.

Marking half a decade of serving the less-privileged, the Sachin Tendulkar Foundation (STF) held a small celebration in Mumbai on Wednesday.

The theme of the evening, ‘Shine Brighter Together’, shed light on the Foundation’s core idea of impacting lives, especially children, through sports, health and education.

Among those who attended the gala was Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin.

‘Five years into this journey of making sports, health and education accessible, we reflect on how far we’ve come. It’s still early days, yet we’re proud of the progress made, made possible by an incredible set of partners who share our vision,’ Sachin Tendulkar wrote on the officlal STF page.

Dr. Aijaaz Ashai Leads Quick Response Team for Tata Mumbai Marathon 2025

The Tata Mumbai Marathon 2025, one of India’s most iconic sporting events, took place today with a renewed focus on participant safety and well-being. Thousands of runners from across the globe gathered for the marathon, and this year, the event witnessed enhanced medical preparedness, with a specialized Quick Response Team stationed every 2 kilometers along the route.

 

The team, led by Dr. Aijaaz Ashai, President of the Sports Cell of the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP), was tasked with providing immediate medical assistance to runners in need. Dr. Ashai, brought his extensive expertise to the role, ensuring a smooth and safe experience for participants.

 

The Quick Response Team, which included skilled physiotherapists and medical professionals, was established under the leadership of Dr. Sanjiv Jha, President of the IAP, and Dr. Ruchi Varshney, President of the Women Cell of the IAP. The team’s presence throughout the marathon route underscored the importance of professional care and readiness for any health concerns or emergencies that might arise.

 

Reflecting on his role, Dr. Ashai said:
