The five-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are reportedly interested in signing Indian wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson from Rajasthan Royals (RR).
The trade talks, which had previously stalled, have now been revived. According to Cricbuzz, the discussions were reignited with former captain MS Dhoni as a central figure to CSK’s IPL 2026 strategy.
CSK are expected to host an internal meeting on November 10 and 11 to finalise their retentions for the coming season. Ahead of that, they are aiming to have a final word on the possibility of trading in Samson. Depends on what happens in the deal; CSK are expected to take the next steps.
Also RR seek a star finisher in return, possibly Ravindra Jadeja. Meanwhile, CSK confirm MS Dhoni’s participation for next season.
