2016 IPL winners Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are set to retain Heinrich Klaasen, Travis Head and Pat Cummins for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League.

SRH were the runner-ups of the 2024 IPL season.

With only five retention spots and a Right to Match allowed, teams have been forced to only retain a core of their players, with some teams touted to experience a huge shift. As per ESPNCricinfo, the Hyderabad-based franchise is expected to retain Heinrich Klaasen, skipper Pat Cummins and opener Abhishek Sharma for INR 23 crore, 18 crore and 11 crore, respectively. Cummins is expected to continue as the captain.

India all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy and Australian opener Travis Head are also expected to be retained, completing their five retention spots. The prices for the two, however, have not been revealed.
