The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to rest three key players for the upcoming ODI series against the England National Cricket Team. The two teams will be locking horns with each other in the three-match ODI series, which will be India’s only 50-over series ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

As per the reports in Sports Tak, it is learned that the skipper Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah won’t be playing the three-match ODI series against the England National Cricket Team, which will be played in February.

The selection committee will soon be taking a decision on the same, and the squad for the series will be announced soon. It’s fair to say that the squad for the England series will be similar to the one that will be playing the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, barring a few changes.

Currently, all three players are in Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, experiencing contrasting fortunes. While Rohit and Kohli have struggled to find form with the bat, Bumrah has been in exceptional touch, claiming an impressive 30 wickets across four Test matches.
