India have been hit with an injury scare in the fifth and final Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test match with Jasprit Bumrah leaving the Sydney Cricket Ground during the second session of play.
The stand-in captain bowled just one over after lunch, with speeds down in the 125kph range, before walking off the ground.
After a half-hour absence, Bumrah left the ground in India training gear, to undergo scans.
“He is going to see some doctors, gets scans … we will know more in a little while,” Indian great Ravi Shastri said on Fox Cricket’s broadcast.
“We just had a feeling he wasn’t well.
“This could have a massive bearing on the series.”
Virat Kohli is leading the team in Bumrah’s absence.
