India will face arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday in Dubai in the Champions Trophy 2025.
The match is especially important as it comes after Pakistan’s defeat against New Zealand and India’s win over Bangladesh in their respective opening games.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli is among the players to watch out for.
As per ESPNcricinfo, Kohli owns the record for the most runs against Pakistan in ICC white-ball competitions.
This includes the 50-over World Cup, the T20 World Cup, and the Champions Trophy.
He has faced Pakistan 14 times in these events, scoring 645 runs at a phenomenal average of 80.62.
His highest score in ODI history of 183 runs also came against Pakistan.
Kohli remains the only player to have scored over 300 runs against a team in the T20 World Cup.
His tally against Pakistan reads 312 runs.
Kohli has played four CT games against Pakistan so far as his scores read 16, 22*, 81*, and 5.
His 81*, which came in Birmingham in 2017, is the second-highest CT score by a captain.
However Kohli’s form hasn’t been great of late, his ability to shine in big stages means expectations are high from him.
