Australia’s all-format players might miss the upcoming T20I series against Pakistan to prepare for the high-voltage Test series against India on home soil.
The Aussies are slated to tour Pakistan for six white-ball matches, three ODIs, and T20Is between November 4 and 18.

The tour begins with a three-match ODI series on November 4. The ODIs will be followed by three T20Is, scheduled between 14-18 November.

According to ESPN Crininfo report, the multi-format players will be given the best preparation facilities for the five-Test series, with the Sheffield Shield starting on October 8.

Therefore, players like Travis Head, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Mitchell Marsh and Josh Hazlewood, who play all formats for Australia, will likely miss the T20I series against Pakistan.

In such a scenario, Cricket Australia will name a squad only comprising white-ball specialists. So, the likes of Jake Fraser-McGurk, Matthew Short, Nathan Ellis and Aaron Hardie could be the key players for the Aussies in Pakistan T20Is.
